Ethics Board


Guided by the Code of Ethics of the Village of Southampton, the Southampton Village Ethics Board exists to promote public confidence by insuring both the reality and the appearance of integrity in village government.  Also, by guiding and protecting village employees and elected and appointed officials, the Ethics Board helps them discharge their duties without fear of unwarranted accusations of unethical conduct.

The Ethics Board does not initiate complaints and queries, but responds to those forwarded to it by concerned citizens. 

All such referrals, and all work by the Ethics Board, are confidential, unless required by law.
