[ARCHIVED] ROAD WORK IN THE VILLAGE

DEPARTMENT of PUBLIC WORKS

The Village of Southampton will commence paving of the following areas from November 4th thru November 8th:

•    Jobs Lane from Main Street to intersection of Pond Ln, Hill Street & Windmill Ln
•    Nugent Street from Main Street to Windmill Lane
•    Apron area near Shippy’s Restaurant
•    Patch area on Windmill between Nugent Street and Jagger Lane
•    Cameron Street Parking lot
•    Penny’s Landing

 Work dates are tentative and may change due to weather and scheduling. Paving will take place from 7AM to 4PM

PLEASE NOTE:
Full street closures for Nugent Street and Jobs Lane will occur: typically a street closure will last 4 hours on one day for milling & 4 hours for paving on another.

NATIONAL GRID GAS MAIN REPLACEMENT:
National Grid has provided a tentative date of November 4th, 2019 to begin gas main replacement for the following roads:
Elm Street from Powell Avenue to Pelletreau Street
Pelletreau Street from Elm Street to David Whites Lane
Pulaski Street from Elm Street to David Whites Lane
North Wooley Street from Pulaski Street to Pelletreau Street
National Grid is sending out notices to all customers in this area and will be walking door to door to inform occupants. The work will be ongoing throughout the winter and roadways will remain open to local traffic. The road will be repaved next year.
